This Privacy Policy explains how AlgoGain handles information when you use the AlgoGain fitness app and the related website.
AlgoGain is designed to work offline. Your workout and program data is stored locally on your device unless you choose to export it from the app.
AlgoGain stores the fitness data you enter in the app on your device. This may include exercises, programs, schedules, workout results, notes, preferences, and other training content you create while using the app.
If you use export features, the exported CSV or JSON file is created locally on your device and handled by the destination you choose, such as Files, share sheet destinations, or another app. AlgoGain does not receive a copy of those local exports.
If you add or choose exercise images, those image references are kept locally with your app data. If you enable workout reminders or rest notifications, they are scheduled by the app on your device.
You can use AlgoGain's workout features without an account. If you choose to create an account, we use Supabase to provide authentication and account management. Account data is used to create, secure, and manage your account and is kept separate from workout and program data stored on your device.
Account data may include your email address, authentication identifiers, account-related timestamps, and security information needed to operate authentication. We do not use account creation to upload your local workout or program data.
You can delete your account from within the app. Account deletion removes the account data we control, except where we must retain limited information for legal, security, or dispute-resolution reasons.
If you separately choose to receive email updates from AlgoGain, we use your email address to send those messages. You can unsubscribe or withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us.
We may use MailerLite to manage optional email lists and send email updates. MailerLite processes that information according to its own privacy policy: https://www.mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy
When you visit the AlgoGain website or contact us online, standard technical information may be processed by our hosting, security, and email providers so the website can load, remain secure, and respond to your request. This can include information such as IP address, browser type, request time, and pages requested.
The app itself does not require an internet connection for workout planning and tracking.
We use information only for purposes related to operating AlgoGain, including:
We share personal information only when needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including with service providers that help us operate authentication, email, hosting, security, support, or similar functions. These providers may process information only for the services they provide to us.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
We do not sell your personal information.
Local workout and program data remains on your device until you edit it, delete it, uninstall the app, reset the device, or otherwise remove it through your device or app controls.
Optional account data is retained while your account exists and for as long as needed for legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. Optional email-list data is retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
AlgoGain is operated from Germany. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, portability of, or restriction of certain personal information, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing.
You can delete your account from within the app. For other privacy requests, contact us at contact@algogain.app. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
If you are in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
California residents may request information about personal information we collect, use, disclose, or share, and may request deletion or correction where applicable. We do not sell personal information.
AlgoGain is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
The app or website may link to websites that we do not operate. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party websites.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Privacy Policy at https://algogain.app/privacy/ and update the "Last updated" date. If a future feature such as cloud sync or online backup changes how workout data is handled, we will update this Privacy Policy and notify users as appropriate.
